The San Francisco-based gay production company’s parent, Io Group Inc., in April won a $1.275 million judgment for copyright infringement against Gilbert Michael Gonzales, who uploaded Titan films in their entirety onto file-sharing web sites.

The decision included a permanent injunction that prohibited Gonzales from “engaging in any unauthorized use of [Titan’s] copyrighted works,” according to court documents filed in the U.S. District Court in San Francisco.

Gonzales subsequently defied the order and wrote on a blog — where he posts under the alias “MikeyG” — that he would “never stop sharing what I have with others,” according to court papers filed by Io’s attorney Gill Sperlein.

In a conference with Sperlein and U.S. District Judge Marilyn H. Patel, Gonzales, who made an appearance via tele-conference, was “contrite,” Sperlein told XBIZ via email.

Patel then approved Sperlein’s earlier motion for an injunction. It calls for Gonzales’ immediate arrest should he violate the terms of the agreement.

Io Group “has no desire to see anyone arrested,” Sperlein told XBIZ. “We seriously hope that Mr. Gonzales finally understands the seriousness of his actions and will stop his infringing activity.”
